A number of Premier League and Championship clubs have been keeping tabs on the highly-rated St Patrick's Athletic midfielder.

Forrester is regarded as one of the best young talents to emerge from Ireland in recent years and was recently named the League of Ireland PFAI Young Player of the Year.

There is growing interest in Forrester, who became an internet hit after his goal against Shamrock Rovers this season went viral with over 175,000 hits on Youtube.

Premier League clubs including Everton, Sunderland and West Ham are believed to have been reguarly sending their scouts to check the tall and elegant goalscoring midfielder's progress this season.

Forrester has one season remaining on his contract with St Pats which is sure to only increase the level of reported interest in the player dubbed the "Irish Messi" by the St Pats supporters after that audacious chip against Shamrock Rovers in April this year.
