Miralem Sulejmani: Wishes to play in strongest European league

Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen and West Ham United are among the clubs interested in the 23-year-old, according to Dutch magazine Voetbal International.

Ajax paid €16million for the Serbia international in 2008, which is still a club record.

Injuries have since prevented him from holding down a regular place in the first team and, with his contract due to expire in the summer, the Dutch giants are reportedly looking to sell after Sulejmani refused to accept a pay cut.

Sulejmani told Voetbal International: "If there really comes a club I will carefully examine that deal. The next step in my career must be correctly and carefully chosen.

"It's my wish to play in one of the strongest leagues in Europe."
