The 21-year-old scored 20 goals last season for Championship side Watford whilst on loan, as they narrowly missed out on promotion, losing to Crystal Palace in the play-off final.
And Vydra, whose 20 goals helped him net the Championship Player of the Year award, has attracted interest from the Premier League, with Sunderland reportedly keen to bring him in.
However, his agent Ondrej Chovanec has declared that Bundesliga side Werder are set to make a bid for the Udinese hitman, one that he and his client would welcome.
"We have been in touch with Werder Bremen for two to three weeks," Chovanec told Bild.
"The Bundesliga is actually the best competition in the world, and of course Matej (Vydra) wants to move there."
Die Werderaner may make an offer to take the Czech Republic international on loan which, according to Chovanec, would suit all concerned.
"A loan deal with an option for a permanent transfer would be a great solution for Werder Bremen, and us too," he added.
"But it would be down to Udinese to make that decision."
