Park has not featured for his country since February 2013 due to a lack of playing time at Arsenal, but head coach Hong Myung-Bo is keen to give the 28 year-old a fresh start since his loan move to Watford in January.

"It was a difficult decision. He hasn't played much but there's no harm in having another look at him," Hong told local reporters.

"I've decided on 80 percent of my final squad and will confirm the starting line-up in June."

Park will be joined by a strong contingent of European-based players including Bayer Leverkusen's Heung-Min Son, Augsburg's Ji Dong-won, Sunderland midfielder Ki Sung-yueng and Bolton's Lee Chung-yong.

The friendly will take place in Athens on March 5.
