Matej Vydra: Delighted with award

Vydra, who is on loan from Udinese, won the award at the weekend after a great debut campaign in England which has seen him score 20 times so far.

But he insists that praise must go to his Watford colleagues, and he told chovanecsport.cz: "It's a great honour and I really appreciate it.

"This has been my first season in England and English football suits me. I managed to adapt myself quickly and those 20 goals are the result of the whole team's efforts.

"But I will repeat myself, without my team-mates I would not win anything. It's an achievement of the entire Watford Football Club and a big share in this is with manager Zola with whose help I have improved a lot.

"Hopefully, I will not end on 20 goals but, most of all, I wish for us to cope with the important games that come after the international break and I hope we will finish in second spot in the end. That's the dream of all of us."

Meanwhile, Serbian defender Neven Markovic has confirmed he is training with the Hornets.

The 26-year-old Serbian is a free agent after leaving Major League Soccer side Sporting Kansas City in November, confirmed he was with Watford via his Twitter account.

"I am just honoured to be part of the Watford team for a couple of days, weeks and I am new player," he Tweeted.

suspect the review will conclude that Iago Aspas should never have been loaned out. Two hat-tricks in two Copa Del Rey games. One might say he has really turned a corner.
