Dorin Goian: In talks over a move to the Championship

Goian is due back at Rangers for pre-season training after spending last season on loan at Italian Serie B side Spezia.

Rangers are thought to be keen to offload the Romanian international with the player also reluctant to play in the Scottish Second Division next season.

The player's representative, Florin Manea, claims he is talking to several interested Championship sides about a move to England for the central defender.

He said: "Goian has a contract with Rangers for another year. But because they will be playing in the Scottish third level he will try and find a way out of Rangers and will take the road to England.

"We are in dicussions with Championship clubs."
