Ian Harte: In demand

The 35-year-old left-back is a free agent following the end of his contract at Reading, who he joined in August 2010.

Bournemouth were thought to be leading the race to sign the veteran defender and offered a contract, but Harte declined.

The player is waiting for the club to come back with a better offer but Tony Mowbray's side have also revealed their interest and could hijack the deal.

e was right to leave, but not just because of the money City were coming into. If I remember rightly he had a reasonable amount of chances to shine at City, but he never passed the bloody ball. Loads of aimless dribbles and 40 yard shots and not much else. I would say that if he had learnt to be a bit more of a team player he may have done better at City.
