Stephen Gleeson: MK Dons midfielder linked with Blackpool

The 24-year-old joined MK Dons from Wolves in the summer of 2009 following a loan spell and played under Blackpool boss Paul Ince in his first full season at stadium:mk.

He has been an integral performer for the Dons over the past four years and could now be offered the chance to step up to the Championship.

Ince is busy trying to put together a squad for the new season and completed the permanent signing of Gleeson's former team-mate Gary MacKenzie on Friday.

The Blackpool chief also used Saturday's pre-season friendly against Penrith to take a look at several trialists.

Among the players on show in the 2-0 win were former Blackpool defender Rob Edwards, ex-Hull City striker Caleb Folan and Ibrahim Diaby.
