Pavel Pogrebnyak: Not sure about his future at the Championship club

Pogrebnyak has been linked with Scottish giants Celtic and Russian outfit Rubin Kazan.

When asked about the chances of him staying at Reading, Pogrebnyak told Sport-express: "It's likely (that I stay). But anything can happen. Until the last day of the transfer period many things can happen."

But Pogrebnyak dismissed the link with Celtic and Rubin, adding: "This is not true."

However, the Russia striker did not rule out a return to his homeland before the deadline.

He said: "If there were suitable possibilities then why not?"

Pogrebnyak has been out of favour so far this season and he added: "It seems the manager thinks that before the end of the transfer window it's not easy for me to concentrate on the team's play."
