Connor Wickham: Set for loan move from Sunderland

Connor Wickham: Set for loan move from Sunderland

Poyet has already agreed to loan out David Vaughan, with Nottingham Forest in pole position to finalise a deal for the Wales international midfielder.

Now Wickham is the next name on the list, and the 20-year-old forward is set to finalise a move once his destination is decided.

Sky Sports understand that up to half-a-dozen Championship clubs have made contact with Sunderland, who are now assessing the options.

Sunderland and Poyet want Wickham to play on a regular basis, and that is believed to be the main consideration when it comes to deciding which club he will join.

The England Under-21 striker, who spent time with Sheffield Wednesday last season, has started one league game for Sunderland this season.

Meanwhile, Sunderland have confirmed that young goalkeeper Joel Dixon has joined Skrill North outfit Workington Reds on a one-month loan deal.

s it the same people that complain about Chelsea that complain about Mayweather? You should by now know what to expect from both, if you can't appreciate how good they are at nullifying their opponents then don't watch them.

do concede though, that getting rid of Luiz has made them less entertaining. In the same way that driving with both eyes open is less exciting, but probably a good idea.
