Garath McCleary: Understood to be a target for a host of clubs

McCleary has one year remaining on his deal at the Madejski Stadium, having arrived at the club from Nottingham Forest in 2012.

No decision will be taken on his future until Reading’s takeover is sorted but the 27-year-old is understood to be on the radar of several clubs after an impressive 2013/14 campaign.

West Brom are believed to be considering a move for the Jamaica international as they look to rebuild under new boss Alan Irvine.

But the Baggies could face competition if they decide to step up their interest in McCleary, as Burnley, Derby County and Nottingham Forest are also thought to be tracking the player.
