Jerome Thomas: No contract talks

The 29-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has featured in each of the last four games for West Brom since returning from a loan spell at Leeds designed to give him match fitness following a series of injuries.

Former England Under-21 international Thomas is unsure what the Baggies have in mind but believes the club should already know what he is capable of.

He said: "I did exactly what I was asked to do by the staff here, which was to go out on loan, get fit and perform well.

"I did that, helped Leeds up the table and I've come back ready to battle for my place in the team.

"But as for the future, we've had no discussions with the manager or hierarchy.

"Is this a window to force a new contract? My performances should do that but I'd have thought my performances over the last few seasons would have done that anyway.

"I'm not sure what the club have in mind. I'm just working as hard as I can and aiming to push Albion back up the table."

Thomas moved to The Hawthorns on a free transfer in 2009 after being released by Portsmouth.

m absolutely disgusted that I've been misquoted in saying that if a chance came up to join Arsenal I would be interested. What I meant to say is if Man United or Chelsea were interested......
