Dean Saunders: Getting on with the job

A 2-0 defeat at Brighton confirmed their fate as they returned to the third tier of English football for the first time since 1989, with Saunders winning just five of his 20 games in charge since replacing Stale Solbakken in January.

The Welsh manager admits instability at the club has been a major factor in their decline but is upbeat as he looks ahead to next season.

He said: "If you had four managers in Boots the Chemist, ask the staff how they feel. They wouldn't know if they were coming or going.

"The worst thing you can have at a club is uncertainty. Someone's got to do this job and I'm up for it.

"We've all got to take a bit of blame but we have to see past that now. It's behind us and tomorrow I'm on with the job."
