Steve Davis: Ignoring speculation

Steve Davis: Ignoring speculation

Wolves parted company with Dean Saunders earlier this week following relegation to the third tier and Davis is 5-1 with some bookmakers to take charge.

"It is flattering to be linked with any job because it is means you have been successful at your respective clubs," he told the club's official website.

"You just have to take that speculation in your stride and get on with things and that is what I've done on a few occasions here. I don't tend to react to speculation and it has never been a distraction to me.

"All I'm doing is preparing the Crewe Alexandra squad for next season and have been kept busy talking to players, agents and discussing things.

"I haven't even thought about the Wolves job or any other. I am just focussed on what needs to be done here in the summer."
