Having made almost 250 appearances for the managerless club, Henry was clear about his intentions for next season but insisted the current uncertainty meant any personal aspirations would have to be put on hold.

"I don't want to leave Wolves. No way. But at the same time if somebody comes in and thinks we need a clear-out and I'm one of them then that's life," he told the Express & Star.

"I still want to be part of it. Whether the club or the (new) manager will want me to be a part of it we will have to see," Henry added.

"But I've got three years left. I've got my own personal pride. I want to get back to the player I was before this season."

The Midlands club are yet to bring in a replacement for Dean Saunders, having sacked the former Wales manager three days after relegation was confirmed, while changes in the playing staff are expected.
