Wayne Hennessey: Has had a nightmare spell on the sidelines

The Wales international has not played a competitive match since the 0-0 draw with Sunderland back in April 2012 due to a cruciate ligament injury but he could move a step closer to a return to action with a run-out against the Dragons.

"He'll get a great reception at Wrexham but also from the Wolves fans because he's been a very popular player," manager Kenny Jackett told the Daily Post.

"And people will be with him because he's had 16 months out injured and no one wants to see that.

"He does seem to be fine and he speaks very confidently and trains very confidently at present, so that's nice to see and I hope that continues now.

"He's had a good pre-season and in terms of training, he's done every session last week - even working with the strikers before the games he has been throwing himself around."

heyremind me of Utd's treble winning side. Swashbuckling and risk prone. We ha Jaap Stam to paper over the cracks at the back though. Not sure they have their Jaap yet.

he solution is to not feel sorry for any of Jabba, Gold or Sullivan. They're all deeply unpleasant and all deserve each other. If only West Ham would sign Barton and Suarez then no one would ever need to despise any other club.
