Sako struggled with illness prior to the current international break, missing training as well as the 3-0 victory at Colchester, while he and the rest of Wanderers' squad were given this weekend off with no fixture to contend with.

But Sako is set to be back in training at Wolves' Compton headquarters on Monday ahead of this weekend's home clash against neighbours Coventry.

"I gave him a few days off to go home like the rest of the players," Jackett told the club's official website.

"He hasn't trained since being ill but he's been in and I expect him to train on Monday morning.

"It's been very quiet and there's been no more contact or negotiations whatsoever.

"We want to get him settled down if we can. We thought after the transfer window that things would settle down but it didn't.

"That was unfortunate on our part but nothing was ever concluded and hopefully now the lad can settle down and get us promoted."

Meanwhile, Jackett has confirmed contract negotiations with talented centre-back Danny Batth, 23, remain ongoing.

The Academy graduate is in the final year of his deal at Molineux.

"There have been plenty of discussions at present with Danny on a personal level, but there's nothing agreed so there's no news," Jackett added.

"All I can say to fans is we're trying very hard to secure his services going forward, and we do want to sign him, but nothing has been agreed.

"He doesn't show any lack of commitment to us - in fact, he shows fantastic commitment every day so I don't think he's unhappy here but we haven't got a contract agreed or signed."

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
