Adam happy with performance

Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam was pleased with City's performance in the 1-1 draw at West Ham but disappointed with the Hammers' equaliser.

The Potters took a 13th-minute lead when Jon Walters finished off a well-worked corner, but the hosts levelled in the 48th minute through Joey O'Brien to leave Stoke still searching for their first away win of the season.

Adam told Sky Sports afterwards: "In the first half I thought we were excellent, but we switched off two minutes into the second half.

"Overall we should be pleased with a point because they are going well, and it's an away point which is something we have been lacking a bit.

"It was a good performance but we are disappointed with the goal we lost.

"The performances we have had away from home have been encouraging. But once we get that away victory there won't be a problem and hopefully it will come soon. But if we keep winning our home games and perform like that tonight we will be okay."

Stoke's goal came when Glenn Whelan rolled a corner across the ground and into the area where a clever run from the far post allowed Walters to convert with a thumping effort past Jussi Jaaskelainen.

Adam added: "At this level you need something different. It's a top, top league with top players and you need something different to try and get an edge on another team. We have been working all week on it.

"We knew there was a gap there and if we could get somebody blocking one of their men we could get Jon on the corner, and fortunately for us it worked."

ilarious, thanks for that. But if I may, I do suspect the reason of your partners' ire is not Tottenham, but most probably all the compusilve gambling :)
