The highly-rated 17-year-old has already spent time in the Potteries back in November.
Jonsson did enough to warrant an invite back to the club and he is hopeful he can earn a move to the Britannia Stadium.
"The plan is that it should be a trial and they want to see more of me," Jonsson told Sportbladet.
"They play a football that suits me and they have said that they are searching for tall strikers."
Midlands rivals Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion are also reported to hold an interest in the teenager.
