In a tough start to the season for City, they also face Manchester City and Arsenal in their first five games.

The club's first home game is against Crystal Palace, although they do not then face another promoted club until December.

October provides a trip to Old Trafford to face champions and Hughes' former club Manchester United.

Stoke play Newcastle United at St James' Park on Boxing Day and two days later they face Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

It's fair to say that the 'Moyes Out' brigade is understandably out in force, whilst there are also staunch defences of Mourinho and Arteta. Plus, Liverpool fans can almost taste it.

That's Why We Didn't Want Jose At United

There is plenty of reaction to Mourinho's antics (Isn't that exactly what he wanted?) plus thoughts on Connor Wickham, Fabio Borini, beach balls and Tim Sherwood...
