Kenwyne Jones: Not in talks over new deal

Reports had claimed that Stoke were set to open talks with Jones, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes has admitted that Jones would have to earn any new deal - but the Trinidad and Tobago front-man says talks are not in the reckoning.

Asked about reports that talks were set to take place, Jones told the Sentinel: "That's absolutely wrong."

"Talks are always welcome. Whether or not you have a resolution at the end of the talks we will see."
