Cardiff have appointed Mehmet Dalman as chairman

The appointment means that previous acting chairman, Simon Lim, will resume his work as chief executive offer.

Dalman told the club's official website: "I am honoured to take up the role of club chairman at Cardiff City Football Club.

"I have enjoyed my time at the club since joining the board of directors in January 2012 and now relish the opportunity to contribute further in my additional role as chairman with Cardiff City in the Barclays Premier League."

Majority shareholder Tan Sri Dr. Vincent Tan added: "I am delighted to welcome Mehmet Dalman into his new and additional role at Cardiff City Football Club and look forward to many successful years ahead.

"Mehmet has had many years of experience in business across the world which he has brought to this great club since becoming a non-executive director in January last year.

"This is more great news for the football club following last week's amicable resolution with the Langston Corporation in which Mehmet played a big role. I wish him the best of luck in his additional role at Cardiff City."

ooray! We are all excited now, we beat a very mediocre team! With all due respect to WHU supporters, not winning that game shouldn't even be a consideration. This is the problem, there is no winning mentality at the Emirates - we're all congratulating ourselves beating a team that we have a winning record against.

I

s this meant to be an aspiration for United supporters? Moyes mediocrity strikes again. I see the Bayern boys don't want to sign for him, and his reputation amongst the senior European coaches make other key signings unlikely.

'Tactically Inept And Lacking In Belief And Style'

It's fair to say that the 'Moyes Out' brigade is understandably out in force, whilst there are also staunch defences of Mourinho and Arteta. Plus, Liverpool fans can almost taste it.

That's Why We Didn't Want Jose At United

There is plenty of reaction to Mourinho's antics (Isn't that exactly what he wanted?) plus thoughts on Connor Wickham, Fabio Borini, beach balls and Tim Sherwood...
