Wilfried Zaha: Needs more protection from referees, according to Holloway

Eagles whizkid Zaha will be in the team to face Bolton on Saturday despite continued interest from Manchester United, and despite an ankle knock sustained from a tackle against Stoke in midweek for which he got booked for diving.

"He does not dive, all he wants to do is go past people and get a shot at goal," said Holloway. "It's so innocent, so unique, and so honest it's frightening.

"I have never seen anyone beat people like him, and I've been astounded at how many times he has been fouled, because that's one tactic you can use if the referee is not strong enough.

"I don't think there is a player in football who has been fouled more than Wilf.

"You can say he should pass it more and move, but the fella lives to beat people, and he does.

"He moves it and he's past you, and then you go to where you thought the ball was and you catch him, because he's just too good for you.

"Our fans know it, but the referees don't."
