Gary Johnson: Sends loanee home

Glovers boss Gary Johnson, who loaned in Burnley forward Wes Fletcher on Thursday, could not guarantee that Appiah would be a regular in his promotion-chasing side having only previously selected him once from the start.

"Kwesi is going back," Johnson told this is somerset. "We brought in Wes Fletcher and it wouldn't be fair to keep Kwesi here and not play him.

"Crystal Palace wanted him playing games and he was unlucky that we had the eight wins and obviously couldn't use him or play him.

"Wes has came in, he's only a young lad, he's happy to bide his time and wait for his opportunity and I know we will like him when we get to see him."
