Marouane Chamakh: Could be heading to Selhurst Park

Palace have already broken their transfer record with the acquisition of Dwight Gayle from Peterborough, but they are still trying to add more firepower to the squad ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Darren Bent is expected to leave Aston Villa in the near future and has been holding talks with Newcastle director of football Joe Kinnear, but Palace would also welcome the arrival of the England international.

Speaking on the Transfer Centre, Parish said: "Darren's a fantastic player isn't he? I think that you know again there's a number of players that we are looking at. What is fantastic for our football club is to be linked with the kind of players that we are being linked with."

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has suggested that Chamakh is set to complete a switch to Palace, but the Eagles are yet to confirm the deal.

Parish did though reveal that he is a big admirer of the Moroccan striker.

"Marouane is obviously a fantastic player," he said. "I think things haven't worked out maybe as well as they could have done in the latter part of his Arsenal career so that's one we are keeping an eye on along with a number of others."

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
