Highly-rated full-back Hunt completed his move to Palace from Huddersfield on transfer deadline day, signing a four-year deal with the Eagles.

A number of other Premier League clubs were thought to be keen on Hunt, but Palace won the race to secure the 22-year-old's signature.

Hunt is relishing pitting his wits against the best players in the Premier League and admits Holloway played a big part in his decision to move to Palace.

"The interest from Crystal Palace filled me with a lot of confidence, obviously it's the best league in the world and I wanted to jump at the chance to go to Crystal Palace," Hunt told Sky Sports.

"I spoke to the manager for a good hour, hour-and-a-half and the chat was brilliant, he is a brilliant man.

"He is very honest and I can't wait to play for him and you can see why he has such a good team spirit there, and that's only after one conversation with him."

Palace were one of the busiest clubs during the transfer window and Hunt is confident that they can stay up if all their new signings gel quickly after being impressed by their win over Sunderland last weekend.

"After the game I watched on Saturday I thought it was very good," added Hunt.

"There are going to be five, six, seven teams that are going to find it tough in the league, but we have made some great signings and as long as everyone can gel pretty quickly I am sure we can stay up.

"We have the confidence and I am sure we will give it a good go."

Hunt, who is regarded as one of the best young players in the country, is confident playing in the Premier League will help him to improve as a player.

"I think playing against better players will only improve me and give me more experience," continued Hunt.

"I have got quite a bit of experience for my age as I have played a good 140 games, but to test myself against the best players in the world, in the best league in the world, will be brilliant for me.

"I had a fantastic time at Huddersfield and now I am looking forward to the challenge ahead of me, playing against some of the best players in the world."

m only commenting on this (I don't care about Liverpool) because F365's twitter said I had call Matt Stanger a tw*t (which I don't agree with anyway) but I just wanted to be the first. Am I the first?

unday, Sunday. Will there be a fan of either team, who if they are winning after 80 mins, won't still be nervous? This could be anything from 0-0 to 5-5, and no one would bat an eye.
