Kagisho Dikgacoi: Tangled with Ashley Young on two occasions at Old Trafford

Dikgacoi was at the centre of two incidents at Old Trafford which have re-opened the debate regarding simulation and the action relevant authorities need to take to try and stamp it out.

Firstly, the Palace midfielder saw United winger Young booked for a theatrical tumble over his leg inside the penalty area.

Then, shortly before half-time, Dikgacoi was controversially dismissed for another challenge on Young, which did result in a spot-kick and United taking the lead.

Dikgacoi concedes that match officials have a tough job determining when contact has been made and where it was made, but he feels the Football Association need to start clamping down on those who try to bend the rules for their own advantage.

He told The Independent: "I agree that there should be a chance to take some action (afterwards).

"This has created a bad vibe after the game because it is making things difficult for the referee.

"I think he (Jon Moss) knew that if he had said Young dived then it would have meant a second yellow card and he would have been sent off. It was a hard position for him to be put in.

"I saw him (Young) afterwards but I wasn't going to go and say anything."

Dikgacoi added: "He was going down too easily during the game and I think everyone knew it.

"It's a shame because it was a big day for us going to Old Trafford and now everyone will only remember that incident."

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
