The 26-year-old has moved to Selhurst Park on a season-long loan from Stoke City.
Jerome intends to show the Potters that they were wrong to let him leave by spearheading Palace's push for Premier League survival.
He is eager to take in regular football, something denied him at the Britannia Stadium, and is convinced he can get goals at the highest level.
Jerome, who was one of five deadline-day arrivals at Palace, sees no reason why he and the Eagles cannot flourish among the top flight elite and is delighted to have been offered the kind of opportunity he has been craving by Ian Holloway.
He said in The Sun: "Palace jumped at the chance to sign me - and I wanted to come here.
"As a player, you want to play as many games as possible.
"Hopefully we can click together quickly as we have a half-decent squad here."
