Palace are seaching for a new manager following Ian Holloway's departure from Selhurst Park last week, with Keith Millen placed in caretaker charge for Saturday's defeat to Arsenal.

Former Stoke chief Tony Pulis is the bookies' favourite to succeed Holloway, but Curbishley, who has been out of work since leaving West Ham in 2008, has hinted he could be interested in the job despite his links with rivals Charlton.

"I think the chairman has come out and been saying perhaps Premier League experience is what they are looking for," Curbishley told Sky Sports News.

"Well, I have got 328 games in the Premier League.

"I did manage Charlton, though, who are arch-rivals of Palace. But at the moment it looks as if they are taking their time over who they are going to appoint, so we will have to wait and see how they go."

Asked if he had any contact with Palace, Curbishley said: "No, but I think they are going to take their time.

"I think that last week was a bit of a tough time for them, I don't think many people were thinking Ian Holloway would be leaving.

"I think they are doing the right thing - they have got to take their time - it's a big decision for them."
