Abdisalam Ibrahim: Norway Under-21 international

Norway Under-21 international midfielder Ibrahim is understood to have been told that he can leave the Etihad Stadium in January.

The talented 22-year-old has been on loan at Norwegian outfit Stromsgodset since last year and with one game left in the current Tippeligaen season, Ibrahim has helped the club to the brink of their first domestic title in 43 years.

Despite interest from rival Premier League sides and other clubs across Europe, he might yet be tempted to stay at the Drammen outfit when his loan contract expires at the end of the season.

"I think it is speculation," stated Stromsgodset sports director Jostein Flo to VG.

"I will have a meeting with (Manchester) City in two or three weeks and then we will probably hear more.

"He is on loan with us until the end of the year, but we would like to keep him."
