The Norwich midfielder moved to the Championship club during the January transfer window in order to get more playing time.

He has made five appearances since his debut against Bolton and only been on the losing side once, when the Eagles went down 1-0 at Huddersfield.

Butterfield came off the bench in their 4-1 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday, a result that was enough to move them into fourth place in the table.
