Hughton: It means everything

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton could not hide his delight after his side beat West Brom 4-0 at Carrow Road and secured their Premier League place for another season.

The Canaries went into the game knowing that a win would be enough and Hughton was more than pleased to get the job done.

Hughton said: "I am absolutely delighted. Over the season we deserved it even though it has been tough the last few weeks.

"Looking at the Wigan result yesterday their tails will likely be up but today was our day."

Norwich took the lead in the first half but it was Grant Holt's goal after the break that was the decisive strike according to Hughton.

He added: "There were a few added pressures on us today but as soon as we scored the second I thought we would be okay.

"It means everything to the club and now we can build on the future. I had a tough act to follow but we want to be like West Brom now and establish ourselves in this tough Premier League."

Norwich City finish their campaign with a trip to Manchester City.

m not sure about this distance covered malarky, plus that stat comes with *since February attached to it, that's just 1 month. I mean I have 27 open cases I'm 'working on' at the moment but believe me others with 10 cases work harder than I do. I just got back from a pub lunch, scampi and chips (+4 pints) in case you were wondering.
