Grant Holt: Under contract at Carrow Road and is not looking for a move

The 32-year-old striker found the going a little tougher in 2012/13 than he did during his debut campaign in the Premier League.

He is, however, tied to a contract at Carrow Road and is reading little into speculation regarding a possible summer switch.

Australian outfit Melbourne Heart are the latest side said to be keen on acquiring Holt's services, but he is happy to remain at Norwich for as long as the club believe he can deliver on the field.

He said in the Pink Un: "Only the manager and the people upstairs will know if they want me to be here next year.

"I've got my contract and we will see how it goes from there."

Norwich boss Hughton claims Holt remains very much part of his plans heading forward and has been quick to play down the transfer gossip.

He said: "Probably it is not my responsibility to say anything because I haven't made any comment on that subject. What I have seen is press speculation.

"Grant is a player who signed a new contract in the summer and he has two years left.

"I might be wrong, but I believe he started more games this season than last season so this is someone who has been right in there playing games. Anything you read or hear is speculation, because for me it is not an issue."

he 'where does it end' argument is an absurd one and completely misses the point of the Rooney Rule, which applies to all minorities. It doesn't force any team to appoint anyone, it merely requires them to interview at least one minority candidate.

ou make a lot of good points, but I still find myself instinctively against anything that makes it easier for Paul Ince to get managerial roles
