Grant Holt: A target for Melbourne Heart, according to CEO Scott Munn

Heart had tried to bring in the 32-year old in January but were put off by Norwich's asking price and Holt went on to net eight Premier League goals.

The pending arrival of Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel means that Holt is likely to fall further down the pecking order at Carrow Road and Heart's CEO Scott Munn says they are still interested in his signature.

"We made an approach and we always knew that it would be made public and that with him being contracted for two more years it might be complicated," said Munn.

"We haven't closed the door on it as yet and will be pursuing it."

resumably, you wanted to keep the version of Downing that was never seen at Anfield. The one that another manager has managed to re-create. The one you passed over.
