Neil Adams: Aware of speculation regarding certain players

Speculation regarding the respective futures of Sebastien Bassong, Luciano Becchio and Mark Bunn is starting to intensify.

The trio have been left behind as Norwich have headed to Italy for a two-game tour, fuelling rumours that they will soon be on their way out of Carrow Road.

Adams fully understands the uncertainty but remains reluctant to give too much away when it comes to those on the fringes of his plans.

He said in the Pink Un: “Everyone knows the squad that is out here and we have players pushing for first team places more than others.

“As and when the window closes, everyone will know where we stand.

“I don’t really want to talk about individual players because that can attract interest from other clubs and we don’t want to give others a competitive advantage or give things away when you are dealing with transfers.

“It is fairly clear there will be players here who will be attractive to other clubs.

“I appreciate supporters and the media want to know these things but we don’t want to end up in a situation where we give the game away. That applies to all the lads, not just the ones here or at home.”

On goalkeeper Bunn, Adams added: “Mark’s situation is he is in the last year of his contract here and he wants to play first team football, and rightly so. I can understand that.

“I thought it was a good opportunity to bring Remi Matthews out along with Declan (Rudd) and have them competing for the number one shirt.

“Mark is in that mix as well but it is better for him to play and train with the 21s rather than come out here and play 45 minutes, perhaps, in nine days.

“It is in the best interests of the player and I feel we are well covered in that department.”

s it the same people that complain about Chelsea that complain about Mayweather? You should by now know what to expect from both, if you can't appreciate how good they are at nullifying their opponents then don't watch them.

do concede though, that getting rid of Luiz has made them less entertaining. In the same way that driving with both eyes open is less exciting, but probably a good idea.
