Julio Cesar: Brazilian praised after Tottenham stalemate

Julio Cesar: Brazilian praised after Tottenham stalemate

The Brazilian had a busy afternoon in the London derby, with the pick of his saves a superb double block when he pushed Jermain Defoe's looping shot onto the post before getting up to deny Emmanuel Adebayor.

"Unbelievable, what a save that is," said Derry. "I suppose that's why we've got him in the team but it's about 11 players out there today. It was an unbelievable effort.

"This time last year we were putting in results against the big four or five and now we've beaten Chelsea and got a point here so it's great for us.

"Our season has been the best part of disastrous until a few weeks ago, but we've got the win away at Chelsea and then a draw with Tottenham. We've got Man City coming so we've got to really build on this and get out of trouble."

Winger Shaun Wright-Phillips had a couple of good chances to win it for QPR, but stumbled when through late on.

"I thought Michael Dawson was going to block it and then when I went to shoot I missed my footing," he said.

"It was a massive chance for me and could have tied the game up, but I've got to keep getting in the right positions and it will come."
