Andros Townsend: Pleased with the level of his performance during loan spell

The midfielder headed out of White Hart Lane on transfer deadline day after finding his path to the first team blocked.

He opted to join a Premier League basement battle at QPR, with there a desire on his part to take on a challenge.

Townsend was also determined to find regular top-flight football, having previously taken in loan spells at sides competing in the Football League.

The 21-year-old feels he has shown what he is capable of during his time at Loftus Road and is convinced that he is heading for a brighter future, be that at Spurs or somewhere else.

He said in the Fulham Chronicle: "Obviously I have belief in my own ability but this is my chance now to show people at Spurs, here and around the Premier League that I am good enough.

"Hopefully I can take the opportunities when they come and show people what I can do.

"I've spoken to Tim Sherwood a few times and Les Ferdinand has been down to a few games.

"They're keeping tabs on me and hopefully they are pleased with what they see."
