Harry Redknapp: QPR owner Tony Fernandes wants Redknapp to stay at the club what

Redknapp's men currently sit in 19th place, level on points with bottom-placed Reading, ahead of their clash with Wigan on Saturday.

But with inevitable speculation surrounding Redknapp's position should they face the drop, Fernandes insists is it stability he is aiming for.

"I want stability more than anything," Fernandes told London Call-In.

"I wanted it with Neil Warnock and Mark Hughes, so it's third time lucky with Harry. I think he is the man. We understand each other well and he knows how committed the shareholders are.

"He has a great coaching staff and philosophy - he's a fantastic man and I would love to keep him as long as he wants to stay."

Fernandes has confirmed there will be departures from the club regardless of what happens over the remainder of the season.

"We will have to sit down with Harry and discuss who we want to keep and who would go," added the 66-year-old.

"Obviously there will be players that will go regardless of if we stay up or go down. We want players who can give a lot to the club for a long time.

"I do see players going but we do have the nucleus of a good squad now which we have had to rebuild. Every single player who has left QPR has not stayed in the Premier League and that shows how much rebuilding we had to do."

I

may well get slated by other United fans for this, but out of the three contenders, I'd far prefer Liverpool to win the title. Yes some elements of their fanbase can be a bit OTT, yes they're our biggest rivals and yes it will make our poor season feel even more like the end of an era (Fergie's gone, Liverpool are back on top). However I just have to applaud Brendan Rodgers and the way he's turned Liverpool around in just a couple of seasons. It...

ooray! We are all excited now, we beat a very mediocre team! With all due respect to WHU supporters, not winning that game shouldn't even be a consideration. This is the problem, there is no winning mentality at the Emirates - we're all congratulating ourselves beating a team that we have a winning record against.

I

s this meant to be an aspiration for United supporters? Moyes mediocrity strikes again. I see the Bayern boys don't want to sign for him, and his reputation amongst the senior European coaches make other key signings unlikely.

'Tactically Inept And Lacking In Belief And Style'

It's fair to say that the 'Moyes Out' brigade is understandably out in force, whilst there are also staunch defences of Mourinho and Arteta. Plus, Liverpool fans can almost taste it.
