Rob Green: Remains hopeful that QPR can beat the drop

QPR were denied a precious win on Sunday when Shaun Maloney's last-gasp free-kick snatched a 1-1 draw for Wigan and the west Londoners are seven points from safety with just six games remaining.

But goalkeeper Green believes there is still a chance for the R's to save themselves with matches against drop rivals Stoke and Reading still to come.

"We don't have a nightmare run-in," Green told the Fulham Chronicle.

"We don't have to go to Old Trafford or the Etihad, we're playing against teams we're capable of getting results against.

"It's not all doom and gloom, but it's imperative we pull out some results now.

The boys won against Liverpool and Arsenal last season, so there's no reason we can't do it again.

"We know it's going to be tough, but we've got to keep on going."

I

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.

e'll be off to Spurs (or better) in January and I don't blame him. Looking forward to re-signing Grant Holt as his replacement though.
