Harry Redknapp: Looking to Brighton for inspiration

The club's relegation from the Premier League was confirmed as they drew 0-0 with Reading on Sunday, a result that also sees the Royals drop down a division.

But Redknapp is already looking ahead to next season after it was confirmed by chairman Tony Fernandes that he would lead the promotion fight following speculation he might leave the club.

Brighton have secured their place in the Championship play-offs with a round of matches still to go in the regular season and Redknapp believes they can learn from Gus Poyet's belief in free-flowing football.

"Of course you can play football to get out of the Championship," Redknapp told the Fulham and Hammersmith Chronicle.

"I had a team at Bournemouth and we played with wingers and flair and that was in the third division.

"Look at Brighton - what a good side they are. They've shown the way, and we need to do something like that as well."

still can't see the Phil Jones thing that some people go on about. Whenever I watch him play it's a repeat of headless chicken meets a gurning Bambi on ice for 90 minutes.

P

robably the first list I've come across in a long time where I agree with a large majority of what was written. Can't agree with everything though, Zaba has had an awful season by his standards, I'd put Monreal (a player who I've never rated) up there, gotta give credit where it's due, he's really stepped up his game.
