Gary O'Neil: Former West Ham midfielder poised to join QPR

O'Neil, who worked with Rangers boss Harry Redknapp during their time at Portsmouth, has been training with the first team squad for the last week.

The midfielder is a free agent having been released by West Ham in June - although O'Neil said at the time that he was likely to sign a new deal at Upton Park before the start of the new season.

However, West Ham co-chairman David Gold subsequently revealed on his Twitter account that O'Neil had turned down the offer of a new contract with the club.

And the 30-year-old now looks set to drop down a division to the Championship and continue his career across London at Loftus Road.

enteke is an absolute steal for £32.5m, he would get into any team in the world (except Barcelona) at the moment. I've seen many very good strikers in my 30+ years as a Villa fan. This guy is the best without question.
