Duvan Zapata: Poised to join Napoli

Zapata was a target for Queens Park Rangers, but Napoli have moved to lure the highly-rated striker to the San Paolo.

The 22-year-old is expected to travel to Naples this weekend to undergo a medical and put the finishing touches to his switch to Serie A.

There is a total agreement between both clubs, we have signed the agreement, the player will be arriving on Sunday with his visa and will have his medical tests for then signing his contract," Lombardi to FM La Redonda.

"I want to say to our supporters that we have done what is correct and that there is no embarrassment, the officials of Estudiantes are decent people and we have done one of the best negotiations of the clubs history, with an amount involved that is around 10 million and half dollars. We have defended each single cent for Estudiantes".

"Estudiantes will be receiving 8 million dollars".
