Benoit Assou-Ekotto: Happy with the QPR fans, as well as their manager

Assou-Ekotto worked with Harry Redknapp at Tottenham and admitted he was delighted to re-join his former boss at QPR.

The Cameroon defender has appeared in eight league games since joining on loan and he told the club website: "I'm enjoying being here.

"I love working with Harry. He was the main reason I came here.

"The supporters have been great to me as well. It's really important for us to feel the love and support of our fans.

"They are our 12th man, so it's important that we give them something to shout about."

Rangers are currently third in the Championship table, having collected 19 points from seven home games this season.

He added: "We should be going into every game thinking we can win, because this squad has the ability to succeed.

"We have a team with experience, with a lot of Premier League experience, and that will be a big help to us.

"Our home form will be very important."
