Yossi Benayoun: Going home to Maccabi Haifa

Haifa said late on Friday that Benayoun, who last week made a record 95th appearance for his country, will rejoin the club he played for early in his career.

The 35-year-old midfielder has spent the last 12 seasons in Europe, playing for Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham before joining QPR in December last year.

He spent four seasons at Maccabi Haifa early in his career, winning two Israeli league titles before transferring to Spanish club Racing Santander.

Benayoun told the club website the players and staff "can bring back the great days of Maccabi Haifa."

Haifa had a disappointing 2013/14 Israeli Premier League season, finishing fifth, 31 points behind champions Maccabi Tel Aviv.

he singular most disappointing aspect of the current malaise that Liverpool are experiencing is that F365 are not able to use the picture of Rodgers giving his troll smile. Brendan does a helluva good Hard Done By range though, especially in the rain, in fact he looks so forlorn you just want to say to the opposition Stop It, You're Killing Him!

ame at 0-0 and missed loads of chances. Did he think it was agiven that Arsenal would win. Don't understand the shock from him. Put the ball in the net. They didn't and couldn't do that so they lost when utd could do that. Simple really. No need to be shocked.
