Norwich have no need to sell

Neil Adams says it will take 'many, many millions' to convince Norwich City, who have no need to sell, to part with key men.

Leroy Fer: Norwich and Holland midfielder among those generating transfer specul

Robert Snodgrass has already been lured away from Carrow Road on the back of relegation from the Premier League, with Hull City keeping him in the top flight.

Norwich have no intention of allowing any more star turns to head through the exits, with Adams looking to piece together a squad that can secure an immediate return to the big time.

The likes of Leroy Fer, Gary Hooper, Nathan Redmond and John Ruddy will be crucial to those plans and are considered to be off the market.

Adams said in the Eastern Daily Press: “There will be plenty of bids and we will knock them all back as best we can unless and until it becomes like the Robert Snodgrass situation, when it reaches a point you have to do business.

“We have said we don’t need to sell many times, and that included Robert Snodgrass, and we will be trying our hardest to keep each and every single one of them.

“Of course speculation and rumours will be rife.”

Adams added when pressed on reported interest from Queens Park Rangers in Holland international midfielder Fer: “There is nothing in that.

“We can talk about bids for our players and we want to keep them all, but we have to be realistic.

“If an offer comes in that is many, many millions and is mouth-watering, we have to be ready if we lose that player.

“We know other clubs will try to have a go at them, particularly now the World Cup has finished.

“I expect it will hot up now and if they do go, we try to replace them with better ones.”
