Nigel Pearson: Felt Leicester dealt well with a poor pitch.

Forward Chris Wood wasted a chance to earn all three points for the Foxes, crashing a second-half penalty against the crossbar, but Leicester remain in the play-off places and Pearson was taking the positives after the game.

"When you come to places like this, you've got to deal with the conditions," said Pearson. "On what is an awful pitch, I think the players applied themselves pretty well.

"It's tough, it's not easy, and I thought both teams dealt with the conditions well.

"They've got some good players as well, so you need your players to be committed to what you're trying to do, and I think we had some very good performances out there.

"I was very pleased with how we went about it, I thought we were very solid at the back.

"At the moment we're just not able to convert enough of our chances but I think that, as long as we apply ourselves in the right way, we'll come through that, because I've got a lot of faith in my players.

"That's the first bit of disappointment Chris has had to deal with since he's been here but he's a level headed lad and these things happen.

"We're fractions away at the minute from collecting maximum points in games and that's something that we're going to have to deal with."

ithout doing any research I would have to say that Richard Wright is the singular most successful ex Ipswich Town player I know. Yes, thats what the kaleidoscopic whirlwind of highs and lows feels like supporting the Tractor Boys. In other exciting news I saw two, count them, TWO squirrels today. What a start to August.
