Gedo: Recovering from foot surgery and setting his sights on the Premier League

The 28-year-old is currently facing up to a lengthy spell on the sidelines after undergoing foot surgery.

Being forced under the knife kept him out of the latter stages of the Tigers' successful promotion push, and he is expected to be out of action for a further four months.

That would prevent him from starting a Premier League campaign in 2013/14, but Gedo is determined to compete in the English top-flight next season - with his six-month loan agreement at the KC Stadium from Al Ahly due to expire at the end of May.

Speaking to Egyptian journalists after his operation, Gedo said: "Thanks God, I am feeling very well now and I hope to come back stronger than before after this surgery.

"Honestly, I wish I can stay with the Tigers next season and help them in their new mission after our promotion, which was fantastic.

"I want to share this feeling again in the Premier League."

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
