Nick Proschwitz: Rejected move offers to stay at Hull

Proschwitz, who cost Hull £2.6million when he signed from SC Paderborn last summer, has found himself pushed down the pecking order at the KC Stadium this summer following the summer arrivals of Yannick Sagbo and Danny Graham.

The big German, who scored the winning goal in the Capital One Cup victory over Huddersfield in midweek, insists he will not give up on establishing himself as a regular in the first team.

"I don't care now at what's gone, I'm just looking at the future," Proschwitz told the Hull Daily Mail. "I decided to stay and fight for my opportunity and I hope my chance will come to play soon. Hopefully I can score then too.

"I came here to play in the Premier League. The first month of the season wasn't easy for me but I don't want to quit and I don't want to give up.

"First-team football is where I want to be and I believe I performed quite well.

"It hasn't been easy but I decided to stay and work for my chance. Hopefully that will come soon.

"I've had a few games for the reserves, a few very good performances with loads of goals, and I'm happy that I could help the team."

he thing is, footballers are role models, and children are influenced by them. I watched the Chelsea game with my 6 year old, and at school the next day she stamped on Emre Can.

et again Barcelona try to convince the world that they only play the most virtuous of football. I've never seen a team so willing and able to dish out lumps but feel so self-righteous that no opposition player should ever have the audacity to tackle them.

d love to see a United v Liverpool FA cup final. It would certainly fit the narrative. Obv I'd want the ending to be one of an O.G. and tears as he collects his runner-up medal.
