Neil Warnock: A dig at Mark Hughes

Warnock parted company with United on Monday, leaving the team sitting five points above the relegation places in the Championship.

But when asked in a radio interview about possible candidates, Warnock had a dig at the man who replaced him at Queens Park Rangers in January 2012.

Hughes only lasted 10 months at Loftus Road, and 64-year-old Warnock insists the job is not for the Welshman.

Warnock said: "I personally hope Mark Hughes follows me again and destroys another team of mine.

"I don't think it's a club for a young manager. There is so much going on behind the scenes it is ridiculous really. It needs somebody who has seen it all and done it all.

"I laugh when I see some of these names. A) We can't afford the compensation and b) do you think Mark Hughes would want Leeds United at the moment?

"It's a hard one but there are a lot of applicants."

S I've always envisioned him as a Pirlo or a Scholes, though he needs some of Andy Murray's conditioning and shiny, ankle supports to keep his own from buckling under the tackles that will (inevitably) come his way. He's got the physique and low centre of gravity to flourish, but needs to make himself more resilient.

Time For Another Wenger U-Turn On Wilshere?

s a United fan I fell I can say this without accusation of bias, Sergio Aguero is for me the only player close to Ronaldo or Messi, what goes against him is his injury record, Hazard is good in fits but doesn't give enough end product in my eyes, Tevez would be 4th for me
