Paul Green: Enjoying playing under the new manager

McDermott, 52, steered the Whites to back-to-back victories in his first two matches and Green believes the former Reading boss has brought a wave of positivity to Elland Road.

Green told the club's official website: "What he brings to the club is a lot of positivity. He likes us to pass the ball and it will be an interesting season next year.

"This season has been about fine margins; we've given away points in the games against Wolves, Leicester and Crystal Palace where we conceded late on and that's what we need to cut out next season.

"Obviously we need to be hard to beat at home, which on the whole we have this season, and we have to make sure we are positive away.

"It would be a great feeling. Being back in the Premier League is what this club is missing.

"I'll come back fit and stronger and I can only do what I can do. It's up to the manager to pick you."
